This contribution presents the extensions of beam-to-beam and beam-inside-beam contact schemes same authors towards frictional interactions. Since are based on beams' true surfaces (instead implicitly deduced from centroid lines), presented enhancements not only able to account for sliding in axial directions, but also circumferential directions. Both approach as well applicable shear-deformable shear-undeformable beams, beams with both circular elliptical cross-sections (although must be rigid). A penalty formulation is used treat unilateral constraints. FE implementation details discussed, where automatic differentiation techniques derive implementations. Simulations involving large displacements deformations schemes. All simulation results compared those frictionless
